LARGE-SCALE CARBON CAPTURE & SEQUESTRATION

Project Experience

Large Scale Carbon Capture & Sequestration

Large-Scale Carbon Capture & Sequestration | Audubon Carbon

Client:

Public Company, Confidential

Location:

Southwest, United States

Project Summary:

Audubon Companies provided engineering and design services for a large-scale carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project. Approximately 1.5 million metric tons (MTPA) of Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the atmosphere are captured from operating facilities, processed, and sequestered.

Audubon Companies’ scope of work included conceptual design, technology selection, and project CAPEX and OPEX to capture CO2 gas from local emitters. The captured CO2 will be processed and transported via pipeline to produce a high purity CO2 product, then be used in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and permanently sequestered in an existing oil field.

Project Overview:

  • CO2 Capture
  • CO2 Dewpoint Control
  • CO2 Dehydration
  • H2S Removal
  • CO2 HP Compression
  • CO2 LP & HP Pipeline

Scope of Work:

  • Project Management
  • Conceptual Design
  • Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
  • Technology Selection
  • CAPEX & OPEX Estimation
  • Pipeline Engineering & Optimization
  • Overall System Configuration
